Experience
As a native speaker of Korean, I learned English through ESL classes in my 1st grade in elementary school. Since then I've become proficient in reading & writing English and became an ESL teacher myself through the TESOL certification from Oxford Seminars. Language is of great interest to me and I have also studied Spanish and Russian. With tutoring experience, I have taught privately the following subjects: writing, basic Korean, basic algebra & calculus, general chemistry, music with the guitar & bass guitar. Watching someone learn is very enjoyable to me because I believe that the purpose in life is about daily learning. Throughout my personal education, I have taken courses in computer technology from RIT, music theory, economics, and government courses from Central Texas College when I was enlisted in the US Army from 1999 to 2001. Afterwards, I enrolled into Rutgers University where I graduated with the BA as a psychology major. I have continued my learning by taking a 3-credit, 12 week MBA overview course through the Rutgers Business School and also went on to getting a real estate license. Since my college graduation in 2006, I have been in the workforce for 8 years and have extensive managerial experience. It is my desire to share my educational experiences with others and help students grow as I continue my own career growth towards education.
